eAR OS with rich multimedia capabilities was designed by the Danish company called Audio Reality!
eAR OS can be launched from the LiveCD and installed on the hard drive.
eAR OS is based on advanced technologies and the newest versions of the following software:
Wine, Audacity, Audio CD extractor that supports FLAC and MP3, k3B for recording CD and DVD, Kaffeine for the use of DVB-S and DVB-T TV, VLC for viewing broadband TV, Firefox 3.0, Thunderbird, Pidgin, F -Spot Photo Manager, GIMP, and several others.
Using the package manager you can install more than 15 000 applications through the Internet.
According to the designers of the OS, despite the use of advanced technologies, it is very user-friendly.
What’s new in eAR OS 1.10:
► new features added (for example, you can now record your LP to your hard drive in FLAC format without any losses)

► you can launch 3D-desktop straightaway
► eAR Media Center updated
► semiautomatic installation of proprietary device drivers improved

eAR OS 1.08 comes with the Linux Real-Time 2.6.24 core to improve sound quality
Minimum requirements - 700 MHz x86 processor, 384 MB RAM, video card that supports the resolution of 1024×768, sound card, 3GB on the HDD.
